This course satisfies the Florida Board of Medicine's requirement for two CME hours of continuing medical education relating to the prevention of medical errors. The course includes a review of the five most mis-diagnosed conditions as determined by the board.

Completion of two hours of continuing medical education relating to prevention of medical errors which includes a study of root cause analysis, error reduction and prevention, and patient safety, and which is approved by any state or federal government agency, or nationally affiliated professional association, or any provider of Category I or II American Medical Association Continuing Medical Education.

Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to: 

·       Identify medical errors as a leading cause of injury and death and list most advantageous method of correcting, reducing or eliminating identifiable risks.

·       Correctly select/identify the five most mis-diagnosed conditions as determined by the board.

·       Correctly identify locations of greatest medical error rates.
