Introduction & Requirements
Michigan nurses must complete 25 hours of continuing education (CE) within their renewal cycle. Two hours must cover Implicit Bias Training and two hours must cover Pain and Pain Symptom Management. The Michigan Board of Nursing requires that no more than 12 CE credits be earned in a 24-hour period. This means that a Michigan nurse renewing will need to space out earning of CE credits over a minimum of three days to compliantly renew their license.
