This comprehensive 1-hour interprofessional course equips healthcare providers with a deep understanding of implicit bias and its impacts on patient care. Through real-world case examples and evidence-based practices, you'll explore how biases—especially related to race, gender, and socioeconomic status—can uniquely affect individuals with intersecting identities. You'll gain practical tools and actionable strategies to effectively identify, interrupt, and mitigate bias in your daily clinical interactions. This course specifically meets mandatory implicit bias training standards in Illinois (Section 1130.500), California (AB 2319), and New Jersey (Bill A1079).
Target Audience
This 1-hour course is ideal for an interprofessional audience nationwide, including:

All healthcare professionals licensed or registered under the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as per Section 1130.500.

Professionals licensed under Division 2 of California’s Business and Professions Code who provide perinatal care and require compliance with AB 2319.

Physicians, physician assistants, nurses, certified nurse midwives, certified professional midwives, and certified midwives in New Jersey providing prenatal or perinatal care as mandated by Bill A1079.
